Color me excited! I feel as though you have “given me back my life.” When I walk anywhere, I will have a mantra of thanks to you. In a year or two when I spend hours walking around The Hermitage in St. Petersburg, I will pause and say a prayer of thanks to you. I just want to report some great progress since my AVN hip procedure. I can now stand in place comfortably for as long as I want, which I could not do before. I can now comfortably sink down into my Tai Chi positions which I also could not do before. L.B.
Dr. Joe Maroon Finishes Ironman Triathlon. This 68 year old went from being told he needed a knee replacement, to successfully resuming his triathlon career with a Hawaii Ironman finish! Jane Anderson underwent the Regenexx procedure for a non-healing pelvic fracture. In March 2007 I fractured my pelvis in four places. I’m 82 years old, so an injury like this can be a devastating thing.
I tried to let the fractures heal on their own and get through the pain and debilitating impacts on my life, but after three months there were still no signs whatsoever of any healing.
