Christopher J. Centeno, M.D.

Christopher J. Centeno, M.D. is an international expert and specialist in regenerative medicine and the clinical use of mesenchymal stem cells in orthopedics.  He is board certified in physical medicine as well as rehabilitation and in pain management through The American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Centeno is one of the few physicians in the world with extensive experience in the culture expansion of and clinical use of adult stem cells to treat orthopedic injuries.  He is a founding member of the International Cellular Medicine Society as well as the Spinal Injury Foundation.  His clinic incorporates a variety of revolutionary pain management techniques to bring its broad patient base relief and results.  Dr. Centeno treats patients from all over the US who travel to Colorado to under-go innovative, non-surgical treatments. Dr. Centeno has chaired multiple international research based conferences.  He also maintains an active research based practice, with multiple publications listed in the US National Library of Medicine.  Dr. Centeno has also served as editor-in-chief of a medical research journal dedicated to traumatic injury.

Dr. Centeno trained at the Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Medical Center and the Institute for Rehabilitation Research.  He hails from both Florida and New York and currently resides in Boulder, Colorado with his wife and three children.

Carl Measer, MBA

Mr. Measer brings more than 20 years of medical administration experience and strategic business planning. He presently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and member of the board of directors for Regenerative Sciences as well as Practice Administrator for the Centeno-Schultz Clinic.  Previously, he directed ambulatory surgery centers, is licensed as a Skilled Nursing Home Administrator, and managed multi-location physician groups. Mr. Measer is responsible for all operations and personnel.

He received his BA in economics from The University of Connecticut and his MBA in Health Care Administration from The University of Phoenix.

John Schultz, MD

Dr. Schultz is widely experienced in percutaneous treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, including localized adult stem cell therapy.  He plays a crucial role in training physicians to use the Regenexx™ procedure. His wide experience with patients with musculoskeletal disorders allows him to play a significant role in physician outreach.

John earned his medical degree from George Washington University and he completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Utah.  He further specialized during two fellowships in pain management and critical care medicine.   He is double board certified in pain medicine and anesthesia.

Ronald Hanson, MD

Dr Hanson is a Sports Medicine specialist with extensive experience performing regenerative medicine procedures. Dr Hanson lectures and trains physicians in the US and around the world to use musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound for regenerative orthopedic procedures. He is actively involved with sports medicine societies and the International Cellular Medicine Society to develop training programs, guidelines and curricula that promote excellence in both regenerative medicine and MSK ultrasound.

Dr Hanson combines many approaches to guide a patient toward healing and restoring function. At the Centeno-Schultz Clinic, this translates into using (and developing) the most advanced regenerative platelet and stem cell therapies in the US combined with improving structure, alignment, nerve function, stability and pain. He is also at the forefront nationally in developing minimally invasive nerve, tendon, ligament and bone spur removal procedures using MSK ultrasound.

Dr Hanson completed his training and practiced in Minnesota and Utah, where he had developed a sports, regenerative medicine and MSK ultrasound practice before joining the Centeno-Schultz Clinic in early 2010. He is privileged to have the companionship of his wife, Jodi, and their daughters Aly and Madi. He enjoys all types of outdoor recreation, traveling, hiking, scuba diving and Scouting.

Michelle Cheever

Michelle Cheever is a seasoned biologist with ten years of research experience and is responsible for the operations of the Regenexx laboratory, including maintenance, personnel, research and development. Her expertise in cell culture techniques and experience obtained while working at Colorado State University and National Jewish assures that all of the patient samples received by the lab are properly maintained and each patient’s samples are given the utmost attention.

She holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Management, and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Northern Colorado.  In addition, she has completed graduate-level coursework in the area of Biomedical Research and has been a co-author of numerous publications and abstracts.
