Posterior Meniscus MRI Case Study
Images/Data:
Posterior horn of the medial meniscus in the white dashed circle. These are 3.0T MRI slices across the area with the top slice being medial and bottom more lateral. Notice the ragged and myxoid appearance (lighter color) of the meniscus before. The “after” stem cell injection shots look like the meniscus is more consolidated (darker) and the ragged edges have been “cleaned up”. This is one of several cases we have been accumulating where the MSC’s appear to have acted as more construction managers, meaning they appear to have reformatted the meniscus area to be more consistent with weight bearing forces.
