ICMS Conference a Great Success

The ICMS held it’s annual conference in Las Vegas, Nevada last week, which was a great success.  Besides Dr. Schultz and myself, speakers included physicians presenting data on type II diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, and peripheral vascular disease.  The most amazing part of this ground breaking conference was that the presentations were from physicians using stem cells everyday to treat disease. As a result these physicians were involved with perfecting second and third tier issues such as delivery systems and patient selection.  In addition, the ICMS membership met to recruit additional members on guidelines committees and determine the direction of the organization.  ICMS will be holding a short format update at the AAMG meeting in April in Boca Raton and then will host a twio day event in Las Vegas in fall 2010.
