Inspiring Others to “Take Their Life Back”

I love hearing from patients who have been treated by a Regenexx facility, regardless of the outcome. To that end, I recently received a message from one of our knee patients whose video had inspired another patient to seek Regenexx treatment for his knee. That patient posted his story this recently on Facebook in hopes of inspiring other people in need of treatment, like Joe Young had inspired him.

Joe Young was treated back in February of 2016 by Dr. Adelsheimer of RAPS in Pittsburgh. His knee was so bad that he found himself sitting on the sidelines, unable to be the dad he desperately wanted to be to his young family. Because he was too young for a total knee replacement, he was excited about the chance to get a partial knee replacement until a friend who was a physical therapist explained why that would not be a good idea at his age and suggested he look into something called Regenexx. Joe used the success of his Regenexx SD knee stem cell treatment as a tool to build back his strength, to be there for his family, and to inspire others.

Here is Joe’s video:

The Message from Wes

We’re so glad to hear you’re doing so well, Wes!  Wes was treated at our Virginia Regenexx Provider, Stem Cell ARTS.

The Upshot? We put an awful lot of time, cutting-edge research and development, resources, training, teaching, and the desire to help into providing treatment that gives patients the best possible chance of recovery. But it’s patients like Joe and Wes and all the patients here who come to us wanting to tell their stories to help others that inspire me to keep at it!

  1. PLease inspire me with some shoulder arthritis Regenexx stories! I’m 64, fit and retired. I have been advised by orthopedic surgeons to replace them both. I have great range of motion, but severe cartilage damage.

  2. Hi; I’ve left a few message and have yet to receive a reply from Regenexx. I’m bone on bone with advanced osteoarthritis in both knees. I also have some minor tears in other ligamernts as well, PCL, ACL and MCL. I do have a recent MRI and can get x-rays from my orthopedic doctor. I had my meniscus repaired once in my left knee (1997) and twice in my right knee (2001/2002). I had a Lipogems procedure done on both knees on 12/21/17. I had fat removed from both sides of my belly and adipose fat cells injected in to both knees along with some adult stems and hyaluronic gel. I have about 7 or 8 injections in each knee guided by an ultrasound for pin point accuracy. The fat cells were put in a centrifuge and the adipose cells were extracted. To date, I’m still in pain. My orthopedic doctors wants me to undergo a double knee replacement. Can you help me via stem cell injections? What is the approximate cost for this procedure given that I need both knees treated? Please respond; thank you!

    1. Anthony,
Not sure where you left the message, but we apologize it wasn’t returned. We will have someone contact you to help.

  3. I had stem cell treatment 6 1/2 weeks ago in both knees and both shoulders. Four surgeons told me I needed replacements. Having read many, many of Dr Centeno´s daily blogs, I decided I did not want to have my knees amputated. After sending my MRI´s to Regennex, I was scheduled for the Regenexx Cayman facility because they had to cultivate my stem cells to have enough for all my needed areas. I had the procedure the last week in February. I am feeling great. I still have some mild pain but it has only been 6 weeks. I left the facility, not with scars and staples in my legs, but a couple of band-aids. I am so happy I did this. Drs Centeno and Schultz are world-class specialists and their staff is wonderful. I am very grateful and shared the whole experience on my Facebook page. Thanks Dr Chris and Dr John. You are the BEST!
